The most interesting thing
about this wine, to me, is that it is just
about mid-way between our Trenton
Estate Vineyard and Great Oak and
the wine seems to be a marriage of the
two. It has a lot of the Estateís pretty,
violet and lavender floral perfume and
pretty blue fruit but also hints of Great
Oakís wild, English saddle leather
aromas. In the mouth it has a little of
Great Oakís intensity but less tannin.
It is a very suave, easy drinking, yet
fairly serious old world styled syrah.
